One of the most common questions we have been getting lately is “Are you using non-GMO canola oil?”. The answer to that question was no. So we started looking into our options. We asked ourselves a couple of questions. Can we source a non-GMO canola oil and still keep our products reasonably priced? Is there a better option or a replacement to canola oil? After consulting with a naturopath, we decided the healthiest option was coconut oil. Coconut oil has some great health benefits and is something that we could use to replace the canola oil in many of our products. So that is what we are currently working on! We have already replaced the canola oil with coconut oil in our artisans (where there was canola oil used), kaiser buns, dinner buns, gluten free products, pan loaves and sandwich loaves.
